    THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE VILLAGE OF BURK’S FALLS


    NOTICE OF ELECTION


    WHEREAS more candidates have been nominated to the following offices than the number required to fill such offices,


    NOTICE is hereby given that voting will be held for the purposes of electing the holders of such offices:


    1- MAYOR for the Village of Burk’s Falls

    4- COUNCILLORS for the Village of Burk’s Falls


    THIS ELECTION WILL BE CONDUCTED BY TRADITIONAL BALLOT


    ADVANCED VOTING will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026- 5:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.

    and Saturday, October 17, 2026- 9:00a.m. to 12:00p.m.

    Location is 220 Centre Street- Armour, Ryerson, and Burk’s Falls Memorial Arena


    VOTING DAY is Monday, October 26, 2026 - 10:00a.m. to 8:00p.m.

    Location is 39 Copeland Street- Young at Heart Senior Centre


    Notice of Revisions to the Voter’s List


    The Voters List will be available at the Municipal Office beginning Tuesday, September 1, 2026.


    Revisions may be made from Tuesday, September 1, 2026, up to 8:00p.m. on Voting Day- Monday, October 26, 2026.

    Forms are available at the Municipal Office.

  • Voters List Registration – Municipal Election 2026

    Ahead of the 2026 Municipal Election, residents are encouraged to confirm they are on the voters list and that their information is up to date to ensure their voice is heard. 


    To vote in a municipal election, you must be 18 years of age or older, a Canadian citizen, and either a resident of the municipality, a property owner or tenant, or the spouse of a property owner or tenant.


    As of September 1, 2026  you can check, update, add, or remove your information from the voters list by contacting the Municipal Office. Identification and/or property documentation is required. 


    Residents are encouraged to verify their information as early as possible to ensure a smooth voting experience.

2022 Election

Thank you to all who came out to vote. The voter turn out was 38%. The election process went well and we look forward to the next four years with the new term of Council. The new Council will be sworn in November 15, 2022.
