Rehabilitation Projects

Yonge Street Rehabilitation 

The Village has been working on infrastructure improvements on the water-main, storm sewers and sidewalks along Yonge Street from Centre Street to Syples Street. 

Deep Construction was awarded the project and preliminary work has already begun and will continue until the fall of 2020.

During this time, traffic will be reduced to one lane from 7:00am- 7:00pm and at times will be closed with detours in place. Residents within the construction area have been advised of the disruption. Council would like to thank residents for their patience during these needed improvements and ask that while in the construction zone and detour routes, please slow down to keep our community safe. 

Armstrong Bridge Repairs

The Village was approved for the 2020 Connecting Links Funding from the Province of Ontario. The funding will be used to complete Phase 3 of the Armstrong Bridge and repair the middle (in water) pier. We expect minimal impact to residents but Syples Street under the bridge may be down to one lane or closed at times. The work should begin near the end of August 2020 and be completed November 30th, 2020.
