The Village of Burk’s Falls Municipally Elected Council is comprised of five members, these include a Reeve, Deputy Reeve and three Councillors. Each Council member is responsible for a specific department within the municipal organization, such as roads/buildings, water/waste water, planning and health care.
2018 is an election year for Ontario municipalities, if you are interested in running for Council, please contact the municipal office early in May for election nomination papers. Additional recourses regarding the responsibilities of municipal Councils.
Village Council meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of every month in Council chambers, located at 172 Ontario street. Meetings of Council are open to the public, those looking to address Council on a specific topic are asked to contact the Municipal Clerk-Administrator contact link no later than the Thursday prior to the regularly scheduled meeting.
