The Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians (DRAO) program has been activated by the province for areas in the Village of Burk's Falls affected by flooding in April 2026. Eligible private property owners may apply for assistance if they reside within the activation area, sustained damage as a result of flooding from lakes, rivers and creeks, and do not have insurance coverage for the damage or have insurance that is insufficient to cover eligible essential recovery costs. The Village of Burk's Falls committed to ensuring that all eligible voters can participate in the 2026 Municipal Election. If you or someone you know requires assistance or accommodation to vote, please contact the Municipal Office by August 31, 2026 so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Did you know that every property in Ontario is linked to a school board, whether you own or rent, and regardless of whether you currently have children in school? You have the option to choose which school board receives your support through your school support designation. To ensure you are correctly listed for the upcoming school board election on October 26, 2026, please review and update your school support designation by June 1, 2026, if needed.
