Municipal Election Nominations Close Tomorrow! Thinking about running for municipal office? There’s still time! Nominations close tomorrow, Friday, August 21 at 2:00 p.m. The Municipal Office will be open this Friday. If you’re interested in filing your nomination papers, please call or stop by the office to book an appointment with the Clerk. We would be happy to help you through the process! Don’t wait, get your papers in before the 2:00 p.m. deadline!
The Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians (DRAO) program has been activated by the province for areas in the Village of Burk's Falls affected by flooding in April 2026. Eligible private property owners may apply for assistance if they reside within the activation area, sustained damage as a result of flooding from lakes, rivers and creeks, and do not have insurance coverage for the damage or have insurance that is insufficient to cover eligible essential recovery costs.
