Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians
Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians is designed to help people affected by natural disasters get back on their feet. Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians was activated for the District of Parry Sound, including the Village of Burk's Falls on April 19th, 2019. The Ministry toured our area and has activated this program for those properties affected by the April 2019 flooding, the link below will provide information to residents and businesses owners looking to apply for financial assistance.

Emergency Response Plan
The Village of Burk’s Falls has prepared a comprehensive Emergency Response Plan (ERP) which is all-encompassing risk-based approach to emergency management. Our ERP includes prevention, mitigation, preparedness as well as response and recovery measures.
Public Versions of the ERP can be found at the Village office and the Burk’s Falls and District Public Union Library. In the event of an Emergency please dial 211 or visit www.211ontario.ca for information and questions pertaining to the management of that emergency.
Residents are advised to be prepared and plan ahead, make a 72 hours kit to ensure you and your family are prepared in the event of a long-term power outage, displacement from the home or any other form of emergency.

Reception Centre/Cooling/Warming Station
The Village has developed a Reception Centre Policy in which will assist residents with finding temporary relief during extreme weather conditions when combined with an extended power outage.
