Almaguin Highlands Health Centre
Located at 150 Huston Street, the Almaguin Highlands Health Centre offers quality health care services in the historical building formally the Red Cross Hospital. Originally built in 1949 the Village of Burk’s Falls took ownership of the facility from Muskoka Algonquin Health Care when the facility closed in 2011. Offering health and medical related services to the Almaguin communities, the Centre is a community hub for health care.

Burk's Falls Family Health Team
The Almaguin Highlands Health Centre is home to the Burk's Falls Family Health Team which includes five Physician practices, Nurse-Practitioner, Nurses, a Social Worker and administration staff, all of which provide services to the residents of Burk's Falls along with four other municipalities. North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit
For information such as how to quitting smoking, immunizations or other health related topics, visit the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit website for resources and assistance. The Burk's Falls location has closed and will no longer have a phone inside the entrance to connect you to the North Bay office.
Although the Village's municipally supplied water is treated and tested as per regulations, many residents outside the municipality with well water choose to have their supply tested through Public Health. For this type of residential testing, water sample bottle are able to be picked up and dropped off at the Village of Burk's Falls Office located at 172 Ontario Street. Samples will be picked up Monday to Thursday, 8am to noon. To contact the health unit you can reach them at 1-800-563-2808.
