Waterfront / Boat Launch

The Magnetawan River runs from the inner portion of Algonquin Park to the shoreline of Georgian Bay, a distance of just over 178 kilometres.

Watercraft access to the Magnetawan River can be found at the Village’s boat launch located at Ryerson Crescent/Highway 520. Our boat launch offers easy launching, ample parking for vehicles and boat trailers plus access to public washrooms at the Welcome Centre.

The Village in it’s self offers a variety of local shops, parks, picnic areas and eateries just a short walk from the boat launch. Follow the Heritage Covered Footbridge into the downtown core of the Village, where you’ll find restaurants, shops, gas station and convenience stores, all ready to re-fuel you for your journey down the Magnetawan River.

The Magnetawan River way system provides access to a number of lakes such as Goose Lake, Lake Cecebe, Ahmic Lake, Crawford Lake and Beaver Lake. Along the waterways you will find any number of local eateries, accommodation, gas stations and parks, all ready greet visitors.
