NOTICE TO RESIDENTS - Yonge Street Construction Notice 2026

Yonge Street Construction Project

The Village of Burk’s Falls would like to advise residents that municipal infrastructure improvements are scheduled to begin on or about May 19, 2026 and are expected to continue through Fall 2026, weather permitting.

Construction activities will take place on Yonge Street between Centre Street and Dimsdale Street.

The project may include:

• Water main replacement and upgrades
• Stormwater drainage improvements
• Road reconstruction and resurfacing
• Curb, sidewalk, and boulevard restoration

The contractor for this project is Kenalex Construction LTD.

Traffic and Property Access

Yonge Street will be closed to through traffic during active construction. Local access for residents, emergency services, and businesses will be maintained where possible.

Residents may experience temporary delays, construction noise, dust, vibration, and occasional driveway or water service interruptions throughout the project. Advance notice will be provided whenever possible.

Waste and Recycling Collection

Residents are asked to clearly label garbage and recycling containers with their civic address and place them in a visible, accessible location on collection days. The contractor will assist with returning containers to the appropriate property following pickup.

Safety Reminder

Please use caution around construction zones, obey posted signage and traffic control personnel, and keep children and pets away from active work areas.
