Village of Burk's Falls
Budget Meeting
August 26, 2010
On Thursday August 26, 2010 the Burk’s Falls Council met at 6:30 pm as
per notice on the Village Website, the Community channel and posted in
the Village Office to discuss Water Rates and the 2010 Budget.
Present were Reeve Cathy Still, Councillors Bruce Campbell, Rex Smith
and Ron Russell. Astrid Taim was the only resident who attended
regarding the water rates.
Clerk/Treasurer, Jarvis Osborne had prepared a draft budget for Councils
perusal with two different scenarios. Council went over the Budget
asking a few questions regarding expenses, revenues and reserves. They
were in agreement that the scenario with a 5% overall increase was the
best one for 2010. A By-law was passed accepting this budget.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:25 p.m.
