THE VILLAGE OF BURK’S FALLS
COUNCIL MINUTES

The Inaugural meeting of the Burk’s Falls Council was held on Tuesday December 2, 2003 in the Council chambers at 7:30 p.m.


Present were Reeve Ron Russell,  Councillors; Cathy Still, Bruce Campbell, Rex Smith and Lewis Hodgson: Reverend Graham Macdonald, Jesse Kohl from the Huntsville Forrester, Astrid Taim from the Almaguin News and Village Webmaster Jim Kirk-White.

The Reeve and Councillors took their declaration of office. Reverend MacDonald read passages from the book of 1Kings and from the book of Micah. He then offered up a prayer for the Council.

Reeve Russell spoke to Council stressing the need for Council to work together for the betterment of the community and its ratepayers. The issues of major concern would be those dealing with water, the landfill and amalgamation.

Jim Kirk-White took pictures for our web page and Jesse Kohl and Astrid Taim took pictures for their respective newspapers.
