SECTI0N 6.0                 ADMINISTRATION AND ENFORCEMENT

 

6.1        Requirements for Building Permit

In addition to all of the requirements of any By‑law of the Corporation, no building permit shall be issued in respect to the erection or alteration of a building or structure unless in accordance with the Village of Burk's Falls Building By‑law and the Ontario Building Code.

 

6.2        Issuance of Building Permits

              Notwithstanding the provisions of any by‑law of the Corporation to the contrary, no building permit

              shall be issued where a proposed building, structure or alteration to an existing building or

              structure would contravene in any way one or more of the provisions hereof.

 

6.3           Inspection

6.3.1       Subject to clause 6.3.2 of this Subsection, the Chief Building Official or By‑law Enforcement Officer of the Corporation, acting under the direction of Council, is hereby authorized to enter, at all reasonable hours, upon any property or premises for the purpose of carrying out his duties pursuant to the provisions of this By‑law.

 

6.3.2       Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in clause 6.3.1 of this Subsection, no officer or employee of this Corporation shall enter any room or place actually being used as a dwelling unit or part thereof without the consent of the occupier, except under the authority if a search warrant issued under The Provincial Offenses Act or any successors thereto.
